LUX Homes is currently hiring a Lead Hand Carpenter to join us. As a Lead Hand Carpenter, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the construction of new custom homes and renovations on site. You will work closely with our team of skilled tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards and within established timelines. 

Job Specific Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage construction projects from start to finish, including new custom homes and renovations. 
• Supervise, coordinate, and work with a team of carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. 
• Interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide construction activities accurately. 
• Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. 
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or discrepancies promptly. 
• Oversee the ordering and management of materials, tools, and equipment needed for each project. 
• Mentor and train junior carpenters to enhance their skills and contribute to their professional growth. 
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, emphasizing the importance of safety protocols. 
• Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, installation, and finishing work 
• Install cabinets, doors, windows, and other fixtures 

Qualifications 

• Proven experience as a Lead Hand Carpenter in custom home building and renovations. 
• Proficiency in carpentry techniques, including framing, finishing, and millwork. 
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and best practices. 
• Excellent leadership and team management skills. 
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents. 
• Strong organizational and time management skills. 
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. 
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges. 
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. 
• Safety certifications and knowledge of OSHA regulations are a plus. 
• Well rounded skills in carpentry
