Director of Construction 

Job Specific Responsibilities 

• Must know how to do layouts.  
• Liaise between managers and specialized workers to reach goals and raise concerns. 
• Keep track of materials and inventory needs. 
• Schedule and organize teams to meet specified quality and time goals. 
• Identify and communicate safety or time concerns due to process, materials, or site. 
• Substantial experience and knowledge in Construction. 
• Must have exceptional time management and organizational skills, work well in a team setting, and work well on their own with minimal supervision 
• The lead hand is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of the team. 
• Make certain team members comply with safety regulations, identify a need for safety training, complete an initial safety and hazard assessment, participate in accident investigations, and see to the timely resolution of safety concerns. 
• The lead hand coordinates the team and is responsible for applying policies and procedures on the job site.
• Evaluating the quality of work of team members, organizing crew tasks, maintaining work standards, resolving issues between team members, and mentoring apprentices.
