Day Shift: Monday – Friday. Weekends OFF!
LUX Homes is currently looking for motivated individuals to work as part of our team. Our staff is stocked with upbeat, positive employees who value quality. LUX Homes is currently hiring an Apprentice Carpenter (3rd or 4th year) to join us. We are looking for individuals that are safety conscious, physically fit, knowledgeable with a wide range of power tools, team-oriented, self-motivated, and have an eye for detail.
Candidates should be registered with ITA, have a Class 5 driver’s license, have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and be proficient at the following tasks below. WorkSafeBC Occupational First Aid Level 1 would be considered an asset.

Foreman, Project Manager, Site Supervisor
Job Specific Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials and move them to work areas
- Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing
- Build cabinets, vanities, tub and shower surrounds and other projects based on demand
- Frame rooms as needed
- Select and evaluate materials for defects
- Install cabinets, counters, and molding.
- Follow all code requirements
- Promote and provide daily site clean up
- Prepare drawings for cabinetry, framing, and other construction projects on-site
- Ask questions when you are not sure
Job Qualifications and Skills
- Extensive knowledge of power tools, including skill saw, miter saw, and jigsaw
- Possession of basic hand tools and reliable transportation to the job site
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver the project on time
- Capable of climbing ladders and carrying at least 80 pounds
- Knowledge of lumber grades and countertop materials
